Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an on-site Registered Nurse for the West 2 Memorial Campus in Worcester, MA, night shift, 12 hours. This role requires Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS (ACLS preferred), and serves to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, discharge planning, and supervising care within the unit. A BSN is preferred, with opportunities for growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• BSN degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing; experience may substitute per policy.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to patient age.
• Perform patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develop and coordinate individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegate appropriately to others per job description and competency level.
