Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Clinical Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting. You will administer care under physician direction, document outcomes, and work with an interdisciplinary team in a night shift, on-site environment.

Qualified candidates are NC-licensed Registered Nurses with BLS; ACLS may be required for certain units. Prior acute care experience is preferred but not mandatory, and training opportunities will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or a compact state by the day of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification may be required prior to performing clinical care depending on unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Reports and records the plan for care, nursing care given, and the patient’s response.
• Provides competent clinical nursing care in line with policies and procedures.
• Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs and discharge planning.
• Collaborates with peers in a clinical operations environment and fosters intra/interdepartmental communication.
• Synthesizes data to determine priorities for care and assesses discharge needs.
• Communicates with patient/family to update the plan of care with cultural competency and active listening.
• Develops clinical and operational excellence through education and training.
• Promotes a safe, clean hospital environment with infection control practices.
• Ensures competency in required skills and completes competency assessments annually.

Education

RN license (NC or compact state)

BLS certification

ACLS certification (preferred)
