Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to lead and deliver competent nursing care for a specific patient population in the Progressive Care Unit. Reporting to the unit Manager/Director, you will organize patient care as a peer leader using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

The position emphasizes leadership in daily operations, care coordination, and staff development, with ACLS training as a potential requirement for some units.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or a compact state by the day of clinical care.
• One (1) year of experience working as an RN in an acute care / inpatient hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilités

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician, pursuing expected patient outcomes with the care team.
• Leads unit operations, supports staffing schedules, and handles timekeeping reviews.
• Participates in talent acquisition, development, evaluation and counseling as needed.
• Updates plans of care with the interdisciplinary team and coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Precepts entry-level staff and coordinates clinical competency documentation.
• Refines unit processes and contributes to policies, ensuring effective EMR use and alignment with accreditation standards.
• Promotes safety, reports events, and supports quality and safety initiatives in a patient care environment.
