Job summary

The Registered Nurse I (Prem Wknd) at Saint Francis Health System provides and coordinates patient care on the Night shift, Friday-Sunday 7:00pm-7:00am, with a 30-minute on-call response requirement. This role is not for new grads.

The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care using the nursing process, adheres to hospital standards and unit policies, and collaborates with the care team to ensure timely discharges and patient education.

Qualifications

• Basic nursing knowledge including disease state management, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work; attention to detail in clinical and numerical data.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients.
• Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care considering age and cultural factors.
• Documents nursing processes and facilitates timely patient discharge with referrals and education.

Education

Nursing diploma/degree from an approved school
