Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a 226-bed acute care unit on the night shift. The RN will apply the nursing process, coordinate patient education, and collaborate with physicians to monitor treatment responses.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certificates, and have prior acute care experience. BSN preferred; competitive pay and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient and family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and respond quickly to changes.
