Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit on the Night shift. The RN will provide direct patient care, assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care while coordinating with physicians and the care team.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and preferred BSN with prior acute care experience. Ventilator management experience is also preferred, with strong patient-family education

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit using the nursing process.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians including cardiac monitoring and test results.
• Educate patients and families and guiding other nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
