Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Unit during night shifts. The role focuses on delivering safe patient care, planning and evaluating nursing care, and guiding family teaching within an acute care hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds a current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and may have ventilator management experience and BSN preference. This is a full-time night-shift position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical nurse-board certification (RN-BC) or similar preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in the Telemetry Unit.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Direct and supervise nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ conditions, including monitoring results and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
