Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. in Yorktown, Indiana is seeking a 3rd shift Receiver to inspect, count and put away inbound grocery product in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will operate PIT equipment, verify BOLs, and maintain cold chain integrity while meeting productivity standards. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, counting inventory, labeling pallets, and documenting variances in the warehouse management system.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Powered Industrial Truck Operators Training (PITOT) certification required.
• 6–12 months experience operating industrial equipment or in a warehouse setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong detail orientation is required.
• Must read, write and speak English; Spanish or other languages a plus in certain locations.
• Proficiency in basic math and basic computer skills.
• Teamwork, self-motivation, problem-solving and initiative for a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work varied days, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and count inbound grocery product from suppliers.
• Palletize inbound product and restack as needed.
• Unload inbound tractor-trailers and backhaul loads.
• Inspect loads for damage and infestation; document discrepancies.
• Ensure accuracy of Bills of Lading (BOL) and note variances.
• Record details in tally sheets or warehouse management system.
• Place receiving labels on pallets and store products in designated locations.
• Maintain product integrity and the cold chain during receiving.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment (pallet jacks, forklift, reach trucks).
• Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards.
• Follow safety, attendance, and company policies.
