Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health Community Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort. You will work closely with physicians, radiologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to support accurate imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current NJ DEP Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography is required.
• AHA BLS Provider certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing provider orders and discussing imaging procedures with patients while answering questions related to diagnostic exams.
• Applying critical thinking skills to address patient concerns and escalating issues appropriately when needed.
• Following radiation safety and protection standards to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
• Producing high-quality diagnostic images using radiographic, portable, and fluoroscopic imaging equipment.
• Evaluating images for clarity, positioning, and diagnostic quality before submission for interpretation.
• Utilizing RIS/PACS accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
• Operating fluoroscopic and portable imaging equipment in surgical and procedural settings, including the operating room.
• Participating in on-call rotations based on departmental and operational needs.
• Adhering to departmental protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards for all imaging procedures.
