Job summary

Trinity Health Livingston Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the night shift to operate diagnostic imaging equipment and obtain routine radiographs in collaboration with Radiology leadership and Radiologist. The role includes assisting with contrast administration and adhering to department protocols.

Minimum qualifications include completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, ARRT registration, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist / Radiography program.
Registered Radiographer with ARRT.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
One year of experience as Radiologic Technologist preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy and understanding of physics, electricity, and variations of anatomical positions—ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).

Responsibilities

Review requests for procedures, determining regions to be examined and images to be obtained.
Prepare patients for procedures, position them, and instruct them with care and tact.
Assist Radiologist in performing routine radiographs and operate imaging equipment.
Monitor patient condition before/during procedures and initiate emergency actions if needed.
Document procedure verification and re-imaging as required.
Collect completed images and forward to interpretation sites.
Maintain infection control procedures and document activities.
Monitor daily quality control and report equipment issues.
Other duties as assigned.
