Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging and ensure patient comfort and safety. You will position patients, operate radiologic equipment, and follow established protocols to support accurate diagnoses.

You will collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams, document procedures, maintain equipment, and pursue continuing education for professional growth within a supportive, quality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Hold a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Hold an active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license (NJDEP).
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures following established protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
• Position patients and operate radiologic equipment to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure.
• Apply radiation safety principles and comply with regulatory standards.
• Review images for quality and communicate with radiologists.
• Document imaging procedures and patient information in EMR and imaging systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to coordinate care and workflow.
• Maintain imaging equipment and monitor supplies.
• Pursue continuing education and professional growth.
