Job summary

Diageo is seeking a Quality Technician for the night shift to support the Production Team in ensuring product quality and compliance with regulatory standards. You will work with the shift team to analyze products and ingredients using testing equipment, quickly identify problems, and implement timely remedies to maintain production pace.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of analytical experience in a laboratory and in a plant environment is preferred.
• Degree/Diploma in Science or Engineering preferred or 3–5 years of analytical experience in a laboratory or in a plant environment.
• Familiarity with HPLC, spectrophotometer, alcolyzer and other equipment used in analysis of distilled products and ingredients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality leadership on shift.
• Perform microbiological testing of water, distilled products and ingredients.
• Perform process audits to monitor compliance to Global Risk Management and North American Standards.
• Inspect raw materials to ensure conformance to product specifications.
• Perform sensory analysis of in-process products, finished products and ingredients.
• Perform analytical testing to ensure adherence to product specifications.
• Develop, implement and maintain an asset care program for testing equipment.
