Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper in Williamson, NY is seeking a Quality Technician I to perform qualitative and quantitative tests on products to ensure quality standards are met. This night shift role runs 6:00pm–6:00am on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, with overtime and weekend flexibility as needed.

Responsibilities include running organoleptic and analytical tests, submitting samples for microbiological testing, approving batches for packaging, and maintaining calibration of lab equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years of related Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge around water chemistry and microbiology is preferred.
• Experience with Documentation and Record-Keeping is necessary.
• Drive to learn and solve problems; teamwork oriented; able to work independently, prioritize and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct organoleptic and analytical tests at various stages of compounding and packaging to ensure compliance with standards; may include pH meters, HPLC, Malvern Mastersizer, and other instrumentation.
• Submit samples for microbiological testing, maintain test results, and calculate batch adjustments for certain products.
• Approve batches for packaging and conforming finished product for shipment; place non-conforming product on hold for further analysis.
• Make corresponding inventory movements in SAP.
• File and maintain retained samples.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Prepare reagents and solutions for use in testing; observe conditions and practices in areas, making recommendations for improvement.
