Job summary

Printpack is seeking an entry-level QA Technician I at the Newport News location. You will perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products, using lab instruments and SPC data to ensure conformance to specifications.

Training is provided, with supervision and pathway from other departments. Wage is $20–26 per hour depending on experience, with a 7pm–7am 36/48 schedule and $2.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Entry level QA Technician role in Quality department.
• 0–5 years of QA/quality control experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow SOPs/work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Execute quality assurance sampling and testing per standards and customer specs.
• Use lab and testing equipment to assess product attributes.
• Conduct visual inspections across multiple lines/processes.
• Record data accurately in SPC and ERP systems.
• Perform new item qualifications and process audits as assigned.
• Maintain 5S standards and proper housekeeping in the plant.
