Job summary

Printpack Jackson is hiring a Quality Technician to ensure compliant, high-quality products are received, manufactured and shipped, supporting the Blown-film and Converting operations through QA systems and documentation.

This is a 12hr night shift position, working 7pm-7am on a 2/2/3 schedule. Starting pay is $20.66/hr with a $2.50/hr night differential. Candidates must work at Printpack location and follow 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Eligible for role with 0 - 5 years of QA Technician or equivalent industry experience along with acceptable conduct/behavior.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing; lab experience preferred
• Proficiency in computer skills, time management, and data interpretation preferred
• Skilled in using measurement tools in both US and Metric systems required
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions required
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail required
• Must be 18 years or older
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and be taught new skills and concepts
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment

Responsibilities

• Execute quality assurance sampling and testing in accordance with internal standards and customer specifications.
• Use a variety of lab and testing equipment, including spectrophotometers, GC/MS, tensile testers, FT-IR, and MOCON instruments.
• Conduct visual inspections on materials produced across multiple lines.
• Articulate results to operators, leads, supervisors, and management.
• Enter data into ERP systems for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Create hold tags for defective material and ensure proper identification of tagged rolls.
• Maintain 5S standards and manage inventory of supplies.
• Organize and archive job jackets, lab data sheets, and retain samples.
