Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a Psych Tech to support crisis services and behavioral health clients within the hospital system. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety protocols under supervision of the department manager.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year working with individuals with chronic mental illness, plus CPR and behavior management training within orientation. Evening shifts are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year working with individuals with chronic mental illness.
• Ability to de-escalate verbally and physically.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client registration and crisis calls per program guidelines.
• Perform intakes, belongings inventory and patient location assessments with timely documentation in the EHR.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment and assist clients with routine activities.
• Document accurately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan discharge.
