Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a Psych Tech to support crisis services, document assessments, and maintain patient safety in a high‑volume behavioral health setting.

You will assist with intakes, patient location assessments, and collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team to ensure quality care and timely discharge planning. CPR and behavior management training are required during orientation and maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to verbally and physically de-escalate a client using trained programs.
• Ability to complete electronic charting and documentation in EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client registration and program intake.
• Answer phones and direct calls per hospital guidelines.
• Perform Intakes, Belongings Inventory and Patient Location Assessments with timely documentation in the EHR.
• Provide safe, supportive environment and assist with crisis de-escalation.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth workflow and discharge planning.
