Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking Mental Health Technicians to join a collaborative care team. You will work with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and more to provide compassionate, safe patient care for adults with mental illness in a state-of-the-art facility.

The position focuses on de-escalation, milieu management and participation in crisis response, with duties including ADLs, data collection, and documentation in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education program in behavioral sciences.
• One year of post-secondary education in behavioral sciences or health care field.
• At least 1 year of supervised experience delivering services to persons with mental illness or 1 year of related health care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities of daily living (ADLs) daily.
• Provides patient care treatments including restraint monitoring and records vitals, weights, intake & output.
• Collects routine specimens such as urine, stool, and finger-stick glucose when directed.
• Responds to call lights and assists nurses with procedures.
• Documents and charts care in the electronic health record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
