Job summary

Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health in Garner, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care on an inpatient unit during a 7pm–7:30am shift, with every-other-weekend work. The RN will supervise LPNs, CNAs and other staff and develop care plans, ensuring patient safety and timely documentation.

Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessment, timely communication with the interdisciplinary team, medication administration with two identifiers, and detailed hand-offs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years of nursing experience in clinical or behavioral health settings preferred.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required; psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and implementing care plans.
• Assess patient status on an ongoing basis and communicate findings to providers.
• Administer medications using at least two patient identifiers and document accordingly.
• Notify providers of significant changes in status and changes in treatment plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation for all patients per shift and share thorough hand-off reports.
