Job summary

Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time, night shift (7pm–7:30am) with rotation on weekends. The RN will supervise LPNs/CNAs and staff on the unit, develop and evaluate individualized care plans, assess and reassess patients, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, an active RN license, CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification, and

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience in behavioral health/psychiatric settings preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/ restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of patient and develops nursing care plans.
• Assesses patient status on an ongoing basis and communicates findings to providers.
• Ensures nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs and completed upon admission.
• Obtains and documents provider orders accurately and ensures compliance with policy.
• Administers medications per orders using at least two identifiers.
• Notifies providers of significant changes in status and documents changes in patient condition.
