Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility in Mississippi, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its behavioral health unit on a PRN basis. The RN will provide professional nursing care on a designated unit, coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, and support the treatment plan for patients in need of psychiatric services.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure in Mississippi, and CPR training.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• One year prior psychiatric nursing experience in mental health setting preferred.
• Must hold RN licensure/registration with Mississippi Board of Nursing or multi-state license as approved by NCSBN.
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships, crisis management, and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit in alignment with Parkwood Behavioral Health System's philosophy and objectives.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care within the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.
• Be accountable for assigned nursing activities on a shift and promote professional practice on the unit.
• May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
