Job summary

Danfoss GmbH is hiring a Production Operations Technician for the 3rd shift in Ames, IA. The role covers coordinating parts, assembling, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping products, with responsibilities spanning equipment setup, troubleshooting, and quality checks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

Monitor production lines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and machinery problems to minimize downtime.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery.
Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements and optimize production workflows.
Perform quality control inspections to ensure products meet standards and specifications.
Document and report production issues, equipment failures, or quality concerns to stakeholders.
Follow safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
Assist in training new production operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues.
Rotate among stations within each assembly cell to meet customer demands.
Work overtime as needed to support production goals.
Other duties as assigned.
