Job summary

Barilla Ames, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our plant and keep production equipment reliable. The role focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and supporting operations to ensure continuous product flow.

Candidates with PLC and VFD experience and at least five years in manufacturing maintenance are encouraged to apply; a relevant associates degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience (mechanical and electrical) with PLCs and VFDs preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance is preferred.
• Associates degree in maintenance or equivalent trade certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure plant reliability.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and use PLC to diagnose Equipment issues.
• Operate and lead maintenance procedures, welding, machining and electrical work.
• Collaborate with operators to ensure product flow and troubleshoot plant issues.
• Coordinate with contractors/vendors for maintenance tasks.
