Job summary

MSCCN is seeking a Production Supervisor - Planer Mill to lead a night shift of hourly employees at our Dodson, LA facility. The role emphasizes safety, production targets, and continuous improvement in cost, quality and scheduling.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a track record of improving performance.
Good planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with housekeeping, ergonomics and labor efficiency.

Responsibilities

Provide daily leadership and oversight of hourly production employees to ensure safe and efficient work.
Ensure compliance with safety and job rules; model core values and foster open communication.
Lead safety and team meetings; balance labor resources for continuous improvement in safety, quality and production.
Set performance expectations aligned to mill goals; assign work and evaluate performance.
Support, coach, and provide timely feedback; ensure regulatory compliance.
