Job summary

BlueWorx Staffing, LLC is assisting a private contract manufacturer in Tulsa, OK. The role leads a weekend night shift across cutting, forming, welding and assembly to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality. You’ll mentor staff, drive cross-training, and coordinate with scheduling and maintenance to meet customer commitments.

You’ll apply hands-on experience with laser cutting, CNC brakes, MIG/TIG welding, and robotic welding cells while fostering a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of fiber laser cutting, CNC press brakes, MIG/TIG welding and robotic welding cells.
• At least 2 years as a supervisor or team lead (off-shift experience is a plus).
• A solid grasp of production flow, quality expectations and safety practices.
• Clear communication, strong problem solving and a present leadership style.
• Preferred: Experience with ERP, warehouse control and electronic timekeeping systems; ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production across laser cutting, press brake forming, manual and robotic welding, and assembly.
• Prioritize the shift’s work to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members, and push for cross-training.
• Hold the team accountable for safety, quality, productivity and attendance.
• Enforce safe work practices and full compliance with safety standards.
• Make sure work meets specifications and quality standards.
• Find and implement process and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate shift handoffs with scheduling, maintenance and management.
• Build a respectful, team-oriented culture on nights.
