Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking a Production Line Shift Supervisor for the Waxdale plant to lead shift teams, enforce SH&E and quality standards, and ensure production targets are met. You will mentor staff, manage schedules, and coordinate with support functions to maintain safe, efficient operations.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing or a degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, plus 1+ year in leadership. Not eligible for remote work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment or a university degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience
• 1+ year in a leadership role
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for full-time employment

Responsibilities

• Supervises shift team members, ensuring productivity, safety, and product quality
• Maintains the weekly production schedules and mediates staffing or mechanical issues
• Builds the team through training, development, and positive reinforcement
• Ensures plant production targets are achieved
• Manages labor staffing and planning for a shift
• Deligates work assignments and conducts standup meetings
• Conducts performance reviews for team members
• Maintains employee records and timecards
• Follows protocols and internal policies
• Resolves conflicts and enforces discipline as needed
• Conducts on-shift safety, quality, and production incident investigations
• Acts as key contact for Waxdale emergency issues
• Partners with support functions and participates in task forces to resolve shift-related issues
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace in line with SCJ values
• Owns performance management write-ups and reviews for shift operators
• Conducts investigations and administers disciplines when required
