SC Johnson is seeking a Production Line Shift Supervisor for the D shift (7pm-7am) in Wisconsin. You will manage shift team activities, promote SH&E and quality standards on the plant floor, and drive productivity with a focus on morale and efficiency.

You will mentor staff, maintain production schedules, and resolve issues to meet targets. This role demands leadership experience and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment or a University Degree plus 2+ years of relevant work experience, or an advanced degree with 1+ years relevant experience.
• At least 1+ year in a leadership role.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises shift team members to ensure productivity, safety and product quality.
• Maintains weekly production schedules and resolves staffing or mechanical issues.
• Develops team through training, development and positive reinforcement.
• Ensures production targets are achieved and plans staffing accordingly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Line Shift Supervisor will manage the production activities of shift team members while promoting and enforcing Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) and quality standards with production teams. In this role you will provide visibility on the plant floor to build rapport with your team members, as well you will evaluate and mentor your team to increase productivity and inspire positive morale. You will also be responsible for ensuring efficiency goals are being met.

D Shift: (7pm-7am)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises shift team members, ensuring productivity, safety, and product quality
• Maintains the weekly production schedules and mediate any staffing or mechanical issues
• Builds the team through training, development, and positive reinforcements
• Ensures plant production targets are achieved
• Manage labor staffing and planning for a shift, including flow-to-work needs to support business
• Delegates work assignments and perform standup meetings
• Completes performance reviews for team members within area of responsibility
• Maintains employee records, compliance documentation and approves timecards
• Follows existing protocols and enforces internal policies
• Assists in the resolution of employee conflict and discipline issues as they occur while striving for consistency and fairness
• Conducts on-shift safety, quality, and production incident investigations
• Key contact for all Waxdale emergency issues as they arise on shift
• Partner with support functions and key personnel to keep them apprised of shift-related activity
• Participate in task forces and core groups that resolve Waxdale shift-related issues
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with SCJ policies, procedures, and in line with SCJ core values
• Own performance management write-ups and reviews for shift operators
• Conduct investigations and administer disciplines as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

• 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment or University Degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience or an advanced degree with 1+ years relevant work experience
• 1+ years in a leadership role
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment

• Demonstrated experience working within a continuous improvement environment in the areas of production, quality and Lean manufacturing principles

• Knowledge of all areas of operation at Waxdale

• Knowledge of plant preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Working conditions may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds
• Requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and steel toed work boots
• Exposure to noise and subject to regular bending, twisting, and reaching
• This position is not eligible for remote work
• This position is not eligible for relocation
