Job summary

AFL Telecommunications LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in a 24/7 facility. The role focuses on achieving safety, quality and productivity goals while directing machine operators across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong math and leadership skills, and familiarity with lean practices. The position supports a shift pattern including nights and weekends with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong math skills; ability to analyze problems and justify decisions.
• Able to support weekend and night shift operations.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience supervising in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Specific training of supervisory skills such as leadership, motivation, conflict resolution, time management is preferred.
• Able to execute Oracle WIP transactions and solve basic issues encountered in production.
• Experienced user of MS Outlook and Office (Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, monitor, and mentor a team of machine operators on multiple shifts to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
• Apply policies, rules and the discipline process and foster teamwork within process cells.
• Make decisions on safety, productivity, maintenance, material availability, and schedule compliance for plant utilization.
• Contribute to safety culture by participating in safety processes and audits.
• Ensure schedule compliance in meeting plant orders.
• Define and share process performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Meet operations quality, efficiency, and material utilization requirements.
