Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical America, Inc. – Performance Polymers Division in Greer, SC, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the night shift. You will lead a small team on the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and timely output while coaching staff and coordinating shift tasks.

This is an on-site, permanent night-role with a 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. schedule and four nights on, four days off. Salary ranges from $82,600 to $103,200 depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Approximately five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success setting expectations, holding employees accountable, and supporting their development.
• Strong safety awareness, sound judgment, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Dependability and availability to work the night-shift schedule, with additional shift coverage for vacations or absences as needed.
• Experience with compounding, extrusion, or blending, along with CPR and First Aid certification, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the production floor. Stay engaged with employees, learn the equipment, and ensure work follows established procedures and operating parameters.
• Champion safety. Reinforce safe work practices, proper PPE use, and a clean, organized work environment.
• Set the direction for each shift. Conduct shift meetings, communicate priorities, assign responsibilities, and coordinate staffing.
• Develop your team. Provide daily coaching, support training, conduct performance reviews, and address performance or attendance concerns.
• Improve production results. Monitor production and quality data, troubleshoot problems, and support efforts to reduce downtime and scrap.
• Maintain accurate records. Review production documentation, verify timekeeping, and manage training and employee records.
• Work across departments. Partner with production leadership, maintenance, quality, and HR to resolve issues and support employees.
