Job summary

Labor Staffers in Altoona, PA is recruiting for 2 full-time Night Shift Production Shift Supervisors for an industry-leading manufacturing company in the Altoona area.

You will supervise all shift associates and train them in production methods and plant procedures to achieve goals for safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The incumbent supports the plant’s focus on continuous improvement to meet both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Experience coaching and developing production staff.
• Ability to work night shift and manage shift transitions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach all shift associates and maintain staffing for next shift.
• Direct work activities to meet production goals and customer requirements.
• Maintain safe work practices; enforce PPE, LOTO and safety protocols.
• Identify training needs and provide development opportunities.
• Monitor production and downtime metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in improvement teams and support quality compliance.
