Job summary

PB Leiner, a global producer of gelatin and collagen peptides, is seeking a Relief Production Supervisor to lead a 4 on 4 off 12‑hour shift. The role manages 15–20 union operators, ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and coordinates with maintenance, engineering and quality teams.

Primary hours are 5:00pm–1:00am, Monday to Friday, with coverage for other supervisor shifts as needed. Experience in manufacturing and GMP environments is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; some secondary education is a plus.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift with a visible, hands-on presence and set expectations for safety, quality and productivity.
• Coordinate shift kickoff meetings and ensure clear handoffs and communication across teams.
• Supervise 15–20 union production operators, driving safety, quality, yield and throughput targets.
• Maintain adherence to GMP, food safety and regulatory requirements and own product quality on shift.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities, troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate with maintenance leadership.
• Plan labor resources, overtime scheduling and staffing, and support payroll information.
• Provide timely and accurate production reports, yield tracking and shift documentation.
