Job summary

Aquila Talent seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead night-shift manufacturing in a high-volume, regulated environment. You will drive daily activities, ensure safety and compliance, and optimize labor and equipment utilization.

You will supervise hourly teams, coach operators, and ensure procedures and records reflect current practices, while coordinating with Quality to address discrepancies and improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop hourly production teams.
• Comfortable providing clear instructions, feedback, and operational reporting.
• Proficient with basic computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, production or inventory systems).
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules or shifts as operational needs require.
• Basic mathematical aptitude for production and data review.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all manufacturing activities on the assigned shift.
• Ensure strict adherence to site safety programs and regulatory requirements; promote a culture of compliance.
• Execute production plans to meet schedule commitments and optimize labor and equipment use.
• Monitor production performance and address schedule deviations or disruptions.
• Ensure activities follow established procedures and approved documentation.
• Investigate production discrepancies with Quality to document issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and controlled startup after cleaning or maintenance.
• Author and revise operating procedures and production records.
• Review quality data and adjust conditions to ensure consistent outcomes.
• Train and qualify operators; evaluate performance via coaching and reviews.
• Communicate expectations and performance through handoffs, meetings, and 1:1 discussions.
• Manage staffing levels, attendance, and scheduling to support production needs.

Education

Associate degree + 4+ years manufacturing experience

Bachelor's degree + 2+ years manufacturing experience

7+ years manufacturing experience (no degree)
