Job summary

SunOpta is hiring a Production Maintenance Technician I for the Modesto, CA plant. The role involves preventive maintenance and repair of food manufacturing and packaging equipment, including aseptic fillers and form/fill/seal lines.

You will perform breakdown work under supervision, maintain safety and quality standards, and support CMMS data entry. The position operates on a 2-2-3 night shift (6pm–6:30am) with a $2.00/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Aseptic processing and high-speed form/fill/seal packaging experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials and technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
• Read and follow maintenance manuals for proper repair and care.
• Support senior mechanics in complex repairs or services.
• Enter time, parts and follow-ups into CMMS system.

Education
