Job summary

Latitude 36 Foods, Llc in Corona, CA is seeking a maintenance technician to set up, adjust, repair and maintain packaging machines and support equipment in a USDA/FDA production environment. The role requires troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, adhering to GMP and SOPs, and collaborating with operators and maintenance staff.

Shift is Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with OT and weekend as required; pay rate is $29.75/hr plus a $0.50/hr third

Qualifications

Must adhere to all food safety and personal safety requirements.
Applicable technical certification is preferred.
Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills are preferred.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills are preferred.
Food Manufacturing or packaging experience is preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure Safety First and adhere to all job safety rules.
Adhere to safety procedures including Machine Guarding, LOTO, IIPP, etc.
Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and take corrective action.
Review production schedule and change over equipment to new sizes when not scheduled.
Prepare preventive maintenance reports and perform maintenance as scheduled.
Test equipment, clear jams, and verify operation after repairs or changes.
Inspect product quality using gauges and instruments and record data.
Report maintenance findings to supervisor and take action as needed.
Assist line operators, packers, and service personnel as needed.
Notify maintenance leadership of recurring malfunctions and quality issues.
Instruct and direct maintenance trainees.
May operate equipment during relief periods.
Follow GMPs and SOPs and report food defense observations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
