Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-4 year technical degree required; military experience may substitute.
• Well trained in LN and MS Office.
• Proficient in English (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for production employees and visitors.
• Ensure safety training for all employees per program.
• Ensure PPE compliance (earplugs, hairnets, safety glasses, gloves).
• Coordinate safety training with plant safety team coordinator.
• Document safety training and file accordingly.
• Monitor production floor for hazards and take corrective action.
• Investigate accidents and provide immediate medical attention.
• Lead and support employee engagement initiatives.
• Conduct focused walks to engage with employees and solicit input.
• Develop strategies for employee-led teams and provide feedback.
• Promote TPM events and safety programs.
• Produce and pack quality product meeting company and customer standards.
• Coordinate quality training and maintain traceability.
• Ensure non-conforming materials are held and tracked.
• Record SPC data and communicate quality issues.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation to ensure safety and food safety compliance.
• Ensure OEE targets and shift inventories are accurate.
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment inefficiencies.
• Provide training related to safety, quality, production and equipment operation.
• Enforce company policies and observe shift personnel activities.
• Maintain employee relations and records.
