Job summary

Essentia Proteins is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a designated team, ensuring safety, quality, service, value, and teamwork. You will communicate with plant leadership and drive continuous improvement in production, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires handling audits, SOP updates, and cross-functional collaboration to meet delivery and quality targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Experience in a food processing environment strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of assigned work area including projects, coordinating production workflow, troubleshooting production processes, costs, scheduling, shipping, receiving, and quality.
• Document and understand required data to control production processes.
• Assist in the development and updating of standard operating procedures.
• Comply with and follow company food safety and quality policies, ensuring fundamental food safety and quality practices are maintained to achieve objectives.
• Perform and oversee audits and inspections of the workplace.
• Monitor production processes, anticipate production concerns, and make effective decisions.
• Investigate incidents, including safety, quality, or food safety.
• Drive root cause problem solving to address vendor, supplier, and customer issues concerning quality and delivery.
