Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC is seeking a skilled engineer/leader for an on-site Cells Assembly Department role supporting a night shift and a 12-hour production schedule. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure high yield and productivity in a highly automated environment.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, team coordination, production scheduling, and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years in complex mechanical assembly and manufacturing equipment.
• Experience leading industrial or manufacturing teams is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or CS; relevant training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance for plant safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate activities of production employees to meet goals.
• Read production records and schedules to determine requirements.
• Collaborate with leaders to coordinate operations across departments.
• Plan work schedules and production sequences to meet targets.
• Train team to inspect materials, products, or equipment for defects.
• Support team problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Monitor KPIs, gauges, and equipment to ensure standards.
