Job summary

H.B. Fuller is seeking a Shift Manager for the 3rd shift (M-F, 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) in Mesquite, TX. The role supervises production, safety and quality programs and partners with plant leadership to set annual goals and budgets.

Responsibilities include meeting customer expectations, reducing downtime, leading scale ups, and guiding the team with process improvements. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years supervisory experience, or 4-year degree with 3 years of leadership experience.
• Must have extrusion/process engineering experience in an extrusion environment considered over supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Meet customer expectations for product quality and on-time delivery.
• Minimize production downtime with maintenance staff involvement.
• Lead product scale-ups and new product launches.
• Participate in safety, quality, 5S and housekeeping committees.
