Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Production Coordinator to create and execute daily production plans under the supervision of the Production Leader. You will train, coach and mentor associates to achieve the daily and 90 day plans, and you may fill in as Production Leader to ensure smooth shift operation.

The role includes leading change, managing performance, and operating equipment as needed, with a shift schedule of 6:00pm–6:30am (2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, 2

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a technical field and 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with progressive levels of responsibility.
• Certified Trainer
• Has the ability to operate and manage powered industrial vehicles within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Create the daily and weekly production plan with the Production Leader and support flawless execution.
• Build associate capability, problem solving and technical understanding across teams and shifts.
• Act as Production Leader in their absence and demonstrate leadership behaviors.
• Drive loss elimination of raw ingredients, packaging material, and finished goods by analyzing loss data and recommending solutions.
• Suggest areas of opportunity to improve KPIs such as productivity, quality, and safety.
• Mentor associates on self-development and business objectives.
• Maintain Level 4 Step Up Cards (SUCs).
• May relieve associates as needed within assigned areas.
• Work independently within established procedures and practices.
