Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Illinois is seeking a Production Coordinator to create and execute the daily production plan, train and mentor associates, and fill in as Production Leader to ensure smooth shift operation.

The role emphasizes leading changes, ensuring flawless execution, and building cross-team capability on 2-night on/2 nights off and 3-night on/off schedules with 6:00pm–6:30am shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field with 2 years in manufacturing or 5+ years with progressive responsibility.
• Certified Trainer.
• Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles and manage warehouse operations.
• Proven ability to lead change and practice situational leadership.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient in MS Office and SAP/JDA.
• Experience training associates and building capability across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Create daily and weekly production plans with the Production Leader and support execution.
• Build associate capability and mentor on self-development and business objectives.
• Relieve the Production Leader when needed and demonstrate leadership behaviors.
• Drive loss elimination of raw ingredients, packaging and finished goods via data analysis.
• Suggest KPI improvements in productivity, quality and safety.
• Mentor on problem solving and cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain SUCs and cover shifts as needed.
• Operate equipment and ensure smooth shift operation.
