Job summary

Mars is seeking a Production Coordinator to create and execute daily and weekly production plans. Under the Production Leader, you will train and mentor associates to deliver plans and the 90‑day plan, and may fill in as Production Leader to keep operations smooth.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent manufacturing experience and a Certified Trainer credential, plus proficiency with SAP/JDA and MS Office. Expect nights and chang­ing shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field and 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with progressive levels of responsibility.
• Certified Trainer

Responsibilities

• Works directly with the Production Leader to create the daily and weekly production plan and supports the execution of the plan focused on associate capability and flawless execution.
• Responsible to build associate capability, problem solving and technical understanding across teams and shifts.
• In the absence of the Production Leader, performs the duties of the role demonstrating the necessary leadership behaviors.
• Drives loss elimination of raw ingredients, packaging material, and finished goods through observation of production operations and by analyzing loss data to recommend solutions.
• Recommends to the Production Leader areas of opportunity to improve KPIs such as productivity, quality, safety, etc.
• Participates in the execution of planned cycle counts of existing inventory, mentors associates on their self-development and business objectives.
• Maintains Level 4 Step Up Cards (SUCs).
• May relieve associates as needed within assigned areas.
• Works independently within established procedures and practices.
