Job summary

Thrive Foods in Corona, CA seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee production operations, ensuring safe, efficient processing and adherence to quality standards. You will work with the Plant Manager and Floor Supervisor to direct daily activities and manage staff across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, strong leadership, and communication skills. Schedule: Sun–Tue with alternating Wednesdays, 5:00 PM–5:00 AM.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment – Food manufacturing a plus!
• Prior supervisory experience a must
• Mechanical skills a plus
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Supervise the production department employees ensuring safe, efficient processing of product while meeting quantitative and qualitative standards for production output, health and safety, HACCP, GMP, sanitation and product quality.
• Have a basic understanding of the freeze-drying process and the related implications of processing and handling of products
• Demonstrate the ability to operate production and packaging equipment
• Demonstrate the ability to complete production paperwork from all departments
• Assist in the management of work force numbers, scheduling and shift assignment within agreed standards
• Recommend process or equipment improvements, which would lead to quality or efficiency improvements - implement changes as agreed
• Minimize rework or damaged product due to employee handling and processing
• Delegate work assignments, troubleshoot operating problems and take preventative or corrective action
• Ensure that production reporting is accurate and timely, including weights and lot tracing information
• Work effectively with other departments to maximize product quality and plant efficiency
• Be hands on in the production process when necessary in all departments
• Ensure adequate training is provided for employees in specific work tasks to reduce or eliminate the risk of workplace injuries
• Ensure the safe operation of machinery and equipment
• Ensure that employees work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures
• Rigorously enforce standards of sanitation and product handling
• Other tasks assigned by the Plant Manager
