Job summary

Purity Dairies, Inc. is seeking a production supervisor for third shift to lead unionized or non-union production staff in a dairy manufacturing setting. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate scheduling, and ensure safety, quality, and timely fulfillment of orders.

The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to manage complex processes across multiple production stages. Excellent collaboration with maintenance and HR is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years manufacturing experience, preferably food/beverage.
• Demonstrated leadership aptitude or supervisory experience.
• Certification or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign work, and provide clear direction to production employees.
• Ensure production flow and daily goals are met.
• Monitor milk receiving, standardizing, pasteurization, separating, freezing, filling, packaging, and storage.
• Promote safe work behaviors; conduct injury investigations and report to HR.
• Ensure food safety and quality programs are followed.
• Supervise production scheduling and material staging for next runs.
• Identify ways to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Communicate with employees via shift meetings and informal methods.
• Administer promotions, transfers, timekeeping, evaluations; mentor staff.
