Job summary

The Process Technician role at Amcor Molding is responsible for safely maintaining molding machine processes to meet quality, efficiency and productivity targets. You will work with peers, communicate equipment issues to the Shift Supervisor, and follow GMP/EHS policies in a fast-paced environment.

Position offers a Monday-Friday night shift (11pm-7am) with starting pay of $24.00 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential, and potential to reach $27/hr within a year based on progression and training

Qualifications

• Capable to keep pace with the production cycles.
• Time management, physical dexterity and attention to detail.
• Tolerance for repetitive tasks and long periods of standing or sitting.
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds safely and perform necessary functions.
• Familiarity with alpha/numeric descriptions and basic math.
• Willingness for flexible scheduling, overtime and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and practices.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to EHS/GMP policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Set up machines/automation with correct process settings.
• Start up and shut down equipment; respond to alarms promptly.
• Monitor molding equipment to meet efficiency and scrap targets.
• Incorporate quality adjustments requested by Quality Technicians.
• Understand First Shot process and line clearance responsibilities.
• Inspect scrap to identify root causes and minimize waste.
• Assist production associates during breaks and complete required documentation.
