Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Technician (I, II, III) in Muscatine, IA to safely maintain molding machine processes and drive quality, efficiency, and productivity. You will collaborate with peers, report equipment issues to the Shift Supervisor, and ensure processes stay within specifications.

This role requires adherence to EHS/GMP policies, mechanical aptitude, and flexibility for weekend shifts. Starting pay is $24.00/hr plus $1.50 shift differential with potential to reach $27/hr within 12

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate and maintain molding machine processes.
• Ability to start up and shut down machines and adjust settings for quality output.
• Willingness to work weekend/holiday overtime as production demands; adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all EHS/GMP policies.
• Lockout/tagout and Molten Polymer procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Set up machines/automation with correct process settings for quality finished product.
• Start up and shut down machine/automation.
• Respond to alarms and requests for assistance to correct malfunctions.
• Monitor and maintain molding equipment/automation to meet efficiency standards.
• Respond to Quality Technician adjustments to maintain quality specifications.
• Ensure quality of finished product and know when to shut down machinery to prevent defects.
• Understand the First Shot process and interact with Quality Technicians prior to running finished product.
• Understand Line Clearance and production changeover responsibilities.
• Inspect scrap to identify root causes of defects.
• Assist Production Associate for relief during breaks.
• Accurately complete required documentation.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
