Job summary

Medical City Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) PRN for night shifts. The role involves guiding patients through routine and critical care, delivering therapy, and managing ventilation.

You’ll work with a collaborative team and access advanced respiratory equipment within the HCA Healthcare system. Responsibilities include assessing respiratory status, delivering evidence-based therapies, managing airways, educating patients and families, and ensuring equipment safety

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• NBRC-RRT certification required.
• Texas state licensure as Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner required (RRT/RCP-State).

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status through focused exams and interpretation of breath sounds.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airways with invasive and noninvasive strategies.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment; ensure readiness and safety; respond to emergencies.
