Job summary

Brook + Whittle is seeking a Press Assistant to support the Flexographic Press Operator in setup, operation, and production while upholding quality and safety standards. This role provides growth toward a Press Operator position.

The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma or GED, some SME D training is preferred, and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Evening shift with a $1.50 differential is available, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• S.M.E.D. Training desired.
• One (1) year of machine experience or more working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Flexographic Press Operator with all aspects of make-readies and job production.
• Stage raw material rolls for operators with core tags readily accessible.
• Load raw materials, make splices, and verify that all splices meet quality standards.
• Assist operators with changeovers and web breaks.
• Label finished rolls with neon labels and core tags.
• Monitor roll changes and maintain accurate roll number logs.
• Operate forklifts and Pit Crew equipment as required.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Demonstrate commitment to following safety rules and procedures.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
