Job summary

Brook + Whittle is seeking a Press Helper to support press operators, assist in setup, maintain production rates, and help keep the area clean after runs. The role requires working with presses and ensuring materials and safety standards are met.

Shifts available Friday-Sunday 6a-6p and Monday-Thursday 4p-2a, with a physical role including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. High school diploma and basic reading skills required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; may include specialized classes beyond high school.
• One year of relevant work experience preferred.
• Able to read and understand simple instructions and basic memos.
• Knowledge of mechanics and MSDS/HazCom requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient use of required safety gear (ear protection, glasses, back-support belt, safety shoes).
• Experience performing single, moderate-sized tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble print cylinders and dies.
• Ensure materials are available to run orders and meet specifications.
• Assist press operators to set up press runs.
• Maintain inks, raw materials, laminate, and cores in order.
• Complete required documentation.
• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Maintain an organized department and work area.
• Inform press operator of material problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
