Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Flexo Press Operators to operate Nilpeter, Mark Andy, or Gallus Press machines, including 650 Conversion. This full‑time position covers multiple shifts: Friday‑Sunday (6 a.m.–6 p.m.), Monday‑Thursday (3 p.m.–1 a.m.), and Monday‑Thursday (5 a.m.–3 p.m.).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and print label jobs on the press with minimal waste, following a priority order set by the Press Supervisor.
- Complete daily score sheets documenting the amount and type of work performed.
- Clean the printing press at the end of each shift.
- Maintain press and related equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; may include specialized coursework beyond high school.
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience operating a flexographic press.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and create simple correspondence.
- Knowledge of mechanics and hazard communication standards, including material safety data sheets.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proper use of safety gear, such as ear protection, glasses, back‑support belt, and safety shoes.
- Perform single‑function tasks of moderate size and scope.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- Frequent exposure to manufacturing environments with dust, noise, chemicals, etc. (21% to 50% of work time).
- Requires walking, standing, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, twisting, and manual dexterity for prolonged periods.
- Requires hearing, speaking, and color vision.
- Requires carrying and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work with rotating, hazardous, and safety‑sensitive equipment.
