Job summary

RRD in California is seeking a Press Assistant to support night-shift operations. You will verify job specs, set up the press, check inks and paper, and assist with make-readies to ensure smooth runs.

Responsibilities include monitoring paper flow, recording usage, performing minor maintenance tasks, and adhering to safety procedures. Starting pay is $17.00–$19.00 per hour plus a $3.00 shift differential. OT may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press.
• Inspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and related mechanisms.
• Maintains proper inventory of paper and records usage.
• Monitors the flow of paper and prepares new rolls when necessary.
• Assists with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of presses.
• Performs other duties and supports safety policies.
